My Fitness Pal!!

Hi To All! Can anyone believe that Christmas is in TWO DAYS!? I cant freakin' believe it! This is going to be such a random post because things are just popping up in my head to type..so here goes randomness..:)

2012 WILL BE THE YEAR THAT I LOSE WEIGHT!
I am completely serious about this. I know a lot of people aren't going to believe me because this is probably the 5th year in a row that i've been saying this. I don't think i've been as serious as I am now. I'm tired of waking up everyday and having to put on clothes and be miserable. I'm tired of people calling me fat [yes, it has happened] No one knows this, but Im afraid to go out to stores because i'm afraid someone is going to ask me if i'm pregnant. NO PEOPLE, I AM NOT PREGNANT!! I AM OVERWEIGHT! I've had 4 people ask me if I was pregnant. It is the worst feeling in the world! Im afraid to meet new people because i'm afraid they are going to judge me. That is my biggest fear right now. So I'm to the point where I'm very tired of feeling like this, and I need a change.

My Fitness Pal
I'm pretty obsessed with this site. It allows you to count calories, which is one thing that I'm not very good at doing, but this site makes it soo easy!! You can put in your calories from your computer, phone, tablet, ipad, etc. There's lots of options! I love it, because i'm always on at least one of those things so it's not trouble to put in my calories. It allows you to talk with other people. It reminds me a lot of Facebook, but DRAMA FREE! Who doesn't love that!? :) Check it out! If you do, add my username leoS8190 i'll add you. Tell me in a message when you add me that you found me from my blog!!

Alrighty! I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, and anything else everyone celebrates! :)

Lack of Motivation

Hello to all you out there! Yes, I know, lack in posts! That goes along with my lack of motivation!! I dont know why but i just cant seem to get my motivation!! Let me give you an update:

I just moved back to Florida two days ago. I was living in South Carolina for four months. My fiance and I were doing long distance. It just wasn't working out so now I am back here in Florida with him. He works at the YMCA so I get a free membership. I need to get my butt back into the gym ASAP, what i'm going to start doing is taking a walk after dinner every night. I have to do this. One, it will get me out of the house. Two, it will get me moving and hopefully i will start losing weight. i know that's not enough though. I need to start doing things that are fun. This is what i'm going to be concentrating on. Doing FUN workouts. I dont want to dread having to workout, just yet, until i have made it a habit. I told my fiance that we need to buy a frisbee, and a football and go up to a field and throw them around. Its good to get up and move around, and its FUN! Does anyone else have an suggestion on fun things I can do to get myself going?

I really am going to try my hardest to keep this blog going.

If you want to keep up with this and often updates with my facebook, go add my page, info at the bottom!

Please email me all your suggestions!! I will reply to all of them!

Motivation

So my normal routine when I wake up is to walk into the bathroom and weigh myself. Well I went in and did that this morning, and in one week, I have lost 2lbs! I haven't seen 244 on the scale in awhile! Even though I was just 2lbs away..I haven't seen it! I was so excited when I saw it! I don't think its 100% accurate, but I know that its 2lbs down from what it said a week ago! LOL. For some reason I cant get the picture to rotate. But there is it..Anyways..about motivation!..I saw this on the scale this morning and was really happy. I don't think people realize how real it becomes until you see the numbers on the scale..whether its smaller or larger than they want. My realization came when I stepped on the scale and I was 3.2lbs away from being 250lbs. I absolutely refuse to see 250lbs on the scale. It is completely uncalled for! My next "mini mini" goal, is to hit the 30's! Then to lose 10lbs by October 20. We shall see!!!

Look at this, I looked up how much 100lbs of fat looked like..
This is completely disgusting to think that I HAVE THIS IN MY BODY!! To imagine having to lose all this seems almost impossible but I'm going to take it one day at a time! I dont even want to think of it as "omg I have to lose 100lbs" I need to think of it as, "Im going to be healthy, happy, and beautiful" That's the only way I'm going to get through this, and making mini goals!!

Ive got alot more on my mind that I will write tomorrow!
Good night!

SELF Magazine

Here are some things I saw that I would like to share..These are ALL from Self Magazine, not me!

10 fun, easy ways we sneak in exercise!

1. Walk to your destination if it takes fewer than 20 min to get there!
2. Do biceps curls with any heavy bags you haul to and from work. They're as unwiedly as kettlebells, so balancing them forces more muscles to fire! [I actually do this!]
3. Dance with your kids! [I dont have kids, but know alot of people that do! Good Idea!]
4. Clench your butt muscles while climbing the stairs.
5. See if you can hold plank pose for three consecutive minutes every day.
6. Eke out crunches during television commercials.
7. Bike to meet pals on weekends.
8. Wear a watch that monitors calories burned.
9. Perform leg lifts and bridges while you talk on the phone.
10. Set your clock 30 min ahead so you have time to run before work.

There are some things to think about. There's tons more I will be posting!! Enjoy

Egg Muffins

Egg Muffins

What you will need:

1- cupcake pan
12-eggs
Veggies [I used ham, broccoli, onion]
Cheese [optional]
Canola/Vegetable Oil
Seasoning
Cooking Spray

Start off by sauteing your onions, broccoli, and ham. [You dont have to saute them but I think it adds more favor] Saute them to your liking. Meanwhile, crack 12 eggs into a bowl. Scramble them. Add any seasonings you want to your eggs. After your veggies are done sauteing, add them to your bowl of eggs. Stir Well. Spray your cupcake pan with cooking spray. [I used cake liners but it didnt work well] Add the egg mixture into the cupcake pan evenly. [Should be 1 egg per cupcake] I added cheese on top of the eggs. Put in oven on 350 degrees for about 15-20min. You will want to do the "toothpick check" to make sure they are done. All ovens vary!

These are so convenient!! You can store them in the fridge and when your on the go in the morning, or just want a little snack, pop it in the microwave for 30-60 seconds and bam! you have yourself a snack :)

Naturally Thin..

I am going to rave on and on about this book..and i'm only on page 60 out of 300! This book Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel is amazing! She definitely knows what she is talking about! I dont want to go to far in depth with what it is about because I want you to go get this!! You can get it super cheap on Amazon. I wanted to read it right away so I bought it in the store. It was $16.00 and worth every penny! A friend of mine recommended this book to me! I absolutely love it! She's an amazing writer!

From what I have read so far, the book talks about how your eating habits need to be like a bank account. If you eat more for one meal or something that isnt as good for you, then dont do it again in the same day, just eat healthy and "balance out your bank account" balance out your calories and budget. I love that concept. Although, I, myself am not good with money [lol] and love to spend!, this is a great way to put it when it comes to eating!

She also talks about how you need to stop dieting!  You cannot deprive yourself from something you want to eat. You can eat whatever you want!! Just only eat alittle of it and dont eat it all at once!

So, that is just a small hint of what the book is about, so far! I am soooo excited to finish this book! I am actually going to reread it and highlight important things that she says that I want to remember.

I would highly highly highly recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with their eating habits and weight!!

I am going to be reading more books along the way, I will also review those, and be reviewing this book probably a couple more times :)

[I am not a professional!! I dont want people thinking that! I'm just giving you information that I find helpful to myself and what works for me!]

Stress..

Stress..that is the word that sums up my life right now. Which definitely plays a part in working out, believe it or not. I know some people question whether or not exercising helps reduce stress..my problem is, I know it helps, but I dont do it! Why? I have not the slightest clue! I am stressed with just about everything that happens in my life. I need to go to the gym and relieve that stressed!

My question to you is..What do you do to relieve your stress? What are things that stress you out?

Ok, so I wasnt planning on talking about this, but..I'm watching the 10'o clock news right now and the story "Worse Than Smoking?" They are saying that sitting..yes SITTING is just as bad as smoking 3 cigarettes a day. Are you freakin' kidding me!? Ok Ok, I DO understand the concept..they are saying if you arent getting exercise you might develop heart problems/diabetes, etc from being overweight, BUT I dont know if thats to the extreme of putting tobacco in your lungs and smoking. Now if any of you know me, I am very against the whole smoking thing, but I'm going to have to do some research on this, it's kind of an interesting topic, but I dont think sitting is to the extreme of being as bad a smoking..What do you guys think?

I am supposed to be going to pay off my overdue gym membership tomorrow. We will see if it happens. That is one of a hugeeee stressor for me is money. I dont like that word. LOL. Are there things you guys do to save money? Share your tips! :)

Workout Fail

Today I went to ride The Legacy Trail with a friend. Well, it didnt work out as I has hoped. It really makes me realize how out of shape I am. But first, does anyone have the problem where it hurts to sit on a bike seat? Why is it soooo uncomfortable! I need to find a bike that I am comfortably ride. I am going to start looking for a good bike. Riding a bike is actually a lot harder than it looks! First the seat is to uncomfortable then its to high, and blah blah. I got to the point where I was so weak I felt like I was going to throw up. I had to sit down. Well, one of my problems is, I only ate peanut butter on saltines all day. I should've learned from the first time this happened. So for anyone reading this, you must eat something before you workout!! An apple, cheese & crackers, celery & peanut butter, etc. Atleast something. Don't workout on an empty stomach! One reason why I always quit at working out is because the first time I do it I get sick and lose my breathe. I hate that feeling, so it pushes me away. I hope that eating something before working out and drinking water throughout the day will help this. Does anyone else get this feeling?

Also another thing I wanted to mention. You should be eating every 3 hours!! This is a big problem to me! I never eat enough! When I do eat, it isnt always healthy also. Here is my eating for today..

1:00pm- Saltines with Peanut Butter
1:00pm- A cup of coffee [first cup in almost a week, I think im going to be sticking to tea]
1:00pm- 3 chips ahoy choc chip cookies
6:00pm-Small Fry [mcdonalds]
6:00pm-McDouble
6:00pm-Ice Caramel Mocha

This is what I have eaten all day. YES YES I know, I shouldnt have eaten Mcdonalds. This is where I learn my lesson. After going on my "failed" bike ride I was shakey, and my BS was low so I had to eat something. It was right there and "convenient" I hate that word! If anything is "convenient" its probably not good for you! So I'm at my calories for the day but not healthy ones! Im at about 1,300 calories. Im trying to stay between 1,200-1,500 cal a day. I just started doing my calorie counting. I will be putting it on here. Maybe not everyday but maybe 2x a week. What do you guys think?

I want to thank everyone for reading this blog. It really does mean alot to me. I am not going to let you guys down. I can honestly say, if I hadn't started this blog, today I would have just given up for awhile. Its very aggervating to me, but I am not going to give up! Just give me some time and I promise I will show you guys that it can be done!  Don't forget to follow! :)

Hard Times..

I've been having a hard time since I got back home to Florida. I havent been to the gym, and I havent worked out. I feel like I've gained 100 lbs. I cant go to the gym because I owe them money and I dont have enough money to pay it right now. I will be going in there on Fri and getting that figured out. It is so darn hot outside to do anything outside. I dont know what it is that is holding me back from walking/riding my bike, etc. I think part of it is, I dont want to do it alone. My fiance is always working or busy and I dont have friends that can just come over. I think if I had a friend that lived pretty close we could just go on walks together or something. This is just a blabbing post about my "downess" lately. I need your guys' opinion on what you guys do when your not in the mood to workout, or ride your bike. So the question is, "when your down, or not in the mood to workout, what do you do?" Comment and let me know! Please! Im in need of help!

I started a challenge with my friend. She put together a challenge to loose a certain amout of weight by labor day. I chose 20lbs. I was going to push 30lbs but my 21st birthday is in there and I know that is going to set me back. If I dont get my butt on track i'm not going to get anywhere near that 20lbs. That's another reason why I do this blog. I can get your guys' opinions and I can let you guys not that there are going to be good days and bad days! I have just been so so lazy. Sitting on the couch doing nothing. Ugh, I hate it! I need to get out of this funk! ASAP!

Help!?

More Tea!

I went to Target to look for more tea. Unfortunately, they didnt have the Bigelow Tea that I blogged about before. They did have Bigelow just not the Vanilla Chai or Perfect Peach. I don't really like any of the others. I came across a brand called Celetstial. It was $2.42. VERY reasonable. It comes with 18 bags of tea in 5 different flavors. I just got this yesterday so I have only tried two. Ive tried the Country Peach Passion & True Blueberry. They are both very different than the Bigelor Tea. The Peach Passion was very good. I really enjoyed it. The True Blueberry was just okay. It kinda reminded me of a blueberry muffin. LOL. The smell was exactly alike. I guess that would make sense if they are blueberries! Duh!

I must say I like the Bigelow better. I will drink this because I bought it, and I might re purchase it. I want to try different ones though. Target didnt that that big of a selection! Maybe try your local grocery store, Starbucks, a tea shop..I know we have one of those about an hour away. Maybe I will look online. I'll keep you all updated on what I find! :)

Salad!

Tonight I had a salad for dinner. It was one of the best salads i've ever had! So So yummy! Heres what was in it:

Mixed Greens
Cucumber
Shredded Carrots
Onion
Blue Chese Crumbles
Chicken Breasts
Salad Toppings
Roasted Garlic Almonds

It was sooo good! No dressing! The Salad Supreme seasoning and the Salad Toppers are plenty for flavor! I actually prefer it with no dressing. With a piece of moist chicken and they seasoning, it is sooo yummy! :) Heres the almonds and Supreme Seasonings I used and the Salad Toppers. Much better alternatives to dressing!

I did not do good today. I was in the car for 9 hours traveling so the only thing I ate all day was Taco Bell. ugh. No Breakfast, nothing to drink. Then Taco Bell for lunch and then nothing til 8pm. I wasn't hungry but that is beside the point. I need to eat every 3 hours! [Blog on why, soon!] So Since i've been home I have been trying to drink lots of water and ate my salad. I will be starting my work outs TOMORROW!! I know I said June 10 but I am home sooner than expected! So let the tough rode begin! :) I am for sure going to ride my bike to the beach but I might go and walk the bridge here. If I do, I will take pictures! i am also going to get some more tea tomorrow! I'll blog about all that tomorrow! Until then...

Taking The Extra Step

I was watching the show "The Talk" the other day. They have Dr. Travis Stork on there as a guest from The Doctors. Well he was talking about healthy living and such. One thing he said that hit me like WOW! He said.."Working out for 1 hour everyday of your life, that is only 5% of your life!" That is amazing. That makes me want to go to the gym and workout for hours. But then again, I guess if you double that and workout for 2 hours a day, that would only be 10% of your life. That is so hard to believe because alot of us cant even find any hour to workout a day! But..the question is..will 1 hour a day give you the results and health that you want/need? Who knows..

So with that being said, 5% of your life is working out, well..there is another 95% left..How to you try to burn more calories? Ill tell you..

1. Park farther away at the grocery store/mall etc.
2. Take the stairs and not the elevator/escalator
3. Get up and turn the channels on the TV instead of using a remote
4. Walk your animals
5. Do the dishes
6. Vacuum

There are so many things you can do to increase your movement each day. Doing just a couple of these things, can help you burn up to 400-500 calories A DAY!  Yep! So when you go out to the grocery store, park further away..save the closer spots for the lazy people :) It really will make a difference.

On a different note...

Monday night I watched the premiere of Extreme Makeover: Weight loss Edition Oh My Goodness! Talk about inspiring!! This woman was 369lbs!! She lost a total of 161 lbs in a year and looks absolutely amazing!!! I really like this show because they are doing it the right way. They arent taking people and having them lose 161 lbs in 6 months. That is soo unhealthy. If any of you have not seen this show, it is soooo incredibly worth watching! I love when they do shows like this because they show people what to do and how to lose weight the right way, and help motivate people!! Click Here to watch the first episode! So So Inspiring! This just helps me think, I can do it!! If any of you have watched it please let me know what you thought!! I would love to hear!

If you guys are reading this, follow it! I would love to see how many people are reading this. So far I have 4..all you need is an email address. Just go to the Follow link on the side and follow the steps! Thanks!!

Protein

I have spent awhile looking through countless numbers of proteins. I really want to start taking a protein shake. As well as an Energy Supplement. [Maybe] I really do have a lack of energy. Yes, I know most of, if not all of the reason is because I am so overweight and lazy [I hate that word!] I think taking an energy supplement will help me a whole lot in getting my butt to the gym!!

The question is: Do I take pills or shakes? [for engery not protein] I really dont know anything about this stuff. This is why I am posting it on here so all of you can weigh in on your opinions.

Here is what I have come up with so far..Please if any of you reading have tried this or heard anything about this, let me know! I'm doing this based on things online not personal opinions. Also, if you've tried a different protein not listed, please share!

I was reading up on Things you should look for in protein. The biggest thing that caught my eye was the amount off protein & "fillers" in the product your buying. I dont know about you, but I want to get my moneys worth. Times are tough right now and I dont have money to waste. Obviously your going to want to get a powder that has the most protein in it if thats what your trying to get out of it, which in fact I am.

1. GNC WELLbeING® be-BUFF™ Protein & Fiber Complex Mix
[This has 59% protein in it. There are only 14 SERVINGS! Now I dont know about you, but I think that is crazy! Why would I spend $25 on something that only has 14 servings? That is $1.85/serving. Okay Okay! Give me a break, realistically if your going to go somewhere like Smoothie King or GNC and get a protein shake, it is going to cost much more! On another note..there are other proteins that i've seen that are only $0.86/serving! But also other factors, you get what you pay for! I saw this quote on a website I was on, I loved it! "Buying a protein is like buying a car: Different options for different price ranges" so so true!]

2. GNC Total Lean Shake
[This has 19% Protein in it. There are only 16 servings in this, which makes that $1.87/serving. Im go to say NO to this one, unless one of you have good things to say about it. There is not much in there, and why would I buy something with only 19% protein in it? What's the point of it in the first place?]

3.100% Casein Protein
[This has 74% Protein! Much of an improvement to the other two! For some reason it doesn't say how many servings are in it, not sure why. Its an online buy only. Casein is: The main protein present in milk and (in coagulated form) in cheese. It is used in processed foods and in adhesives and paints.
Umm, the last part makes me wonder what in the world Casein is doing in food!? Gross! I can't imagine it tasting very good! This does seem like a good buy because of the high amount of protein in this. I will have to do some deeper research as to how many servings there are in this. I will keep you updated. I will also be updating what I decide to buy. I might even take my camera along with me and vlog it. We shall see!]

I know there are lots of things to consider when choosing a protein and I am just trying to weigh all my options. Proteins are not cheap so I want to make sure I'm getting the best buy. I dont want to just walk into a vitamin store [i.e. Vitamin Shoppe/GNC] and say "I want a weightloss protein shake" and have them direct me to the most expensive thing because they want a big sale. I'm not into all that. I will do my research and read reviews and see what I come across. These three were the ones I came across online that seemed good to review.

Do you take protein? Do you take pre-workout drinks? Let me know! I'm very interested, specifically in what you women take before/after a workout! Comments are Welcome! :) Oh & speaking of comments..It will not let me comment back for some reason! I will try to get this figured out. It keeps saying I need to sign in, but I already am signed in. Ahhh So aggervating! So I am not ignoring you all, I do read your comments! :) You can always personally email me at mybigchange@yahoo.com

Books, Juice & TV!

Heres A Bunch Of Randomness In A Blog! [Thoughts Just Kept Running Through My Head Of Things To Say!]

A friend of mine e-mailed me the other day recommending a book to me. It is a book called Naturally Thin by Bethenny Frankel, some of you may know her from the show, The Real Housewives Of New York City. I have known that she wrote a book, but never took any interest in it. I will definitely be purchasing this book on my next Amazon order :)

The other day, I was watching the show The Doctors. There was a guest on there by the name of Joe Cross. What he did fascinated me. He went on a fasting diet on JUICE! Yep, JUICE! Of course not the sugary naturally flavored junk. He would take all fresh veggies/fruit and juice them in a juicer and drink it! Now I'm not absolutely for sure on all of this, but I think that that's all he ate. [or drank!] He didn't go into complete depth of his story, but he does have a website where you can check out his story! He lost 100lbs in 60 days! Now, in my mind, that is not healthy! I am thinking about doing this. I will not trade it for meals, but maybe have a "juice" for a snack. A place I worked at made juices from fresh fruit/veggies. One thing I do know, Carrots & Beet Juice, completely delicious!! There are also recipes on the website of things he juiced. I do own a juicer..I own this juicer! I got it on sale for $70. Well worth the money!! I do not use it alot right now, but for people who are "all natural"  it is good for! Ive made Apple Juice/Orange Juice. It is yummy but you must remember, there is going to be the pulp in it! After all, it is natural! I think people have gotten away from eating natural foods. I was never brought up with natural foods and healthy foods. I always ate fast food [because of it's convenience] I was just reading a magazine last night and there was a picture of a celebrity [I dont remember who] that was picking their own lettuce!!! I thought that was the coolest thing! I've never seen such a thing!..But I do remember going Apple Picking when I was a younger kid ;) That was alot of fun! I will definitely be experimenting different juices and giving you all recipes! One thing I would recommend if you are going to make say Apple Juice or Orange Juice, I personally have found that putting them in the refrigerator helps. If they are just sitting on the counter, the juice is going to be warm. I also find it is easier to just make the serving your going to be drinking right then. It isn't to good to save. But it's all personal preference :)

One more thing for today, on a completely different note! I wanted to give you all a tip on something that helps me workout. THE TELEVISION! Such a great invention :) As soon as I get home I will pick a show that I want to watch while working out. I will go to the gym on my workout days when that show is on! Where I workout there is a TV on every machine! Such a great thing! There is also an Ipod plug-in where you can charge your ipod! [Too bad, I would always use that as an excuse! No Music, No Workout!] Yeahhhh Rigghhhtt! No More! So if you all like a certain show, and you can get to the gym when it is on, it might help you complete a workout! I know that if I'm into the show, i'm going to want to stay on the machine until my show is over! Whether it's 30min/60min it doesnt matter :) Just something I wanted to share!

Good Night <3
Hope you all had a great day!!

Bigelow Tea

I came across this tea the other day. It's so so yummy! Since I am trying to drink way less coffee, I figured this tea/gree tea would be a great alternative & it's caffeine free!. You can click here to go to their website.

I have so far tried the Vanilla Chai and Perfect Peach. I really enjoyed both. Since I am so used to drinking coffee with tons or sugar, and cream, it's a big change to drink tea with nothing in it. I know I could add Honey but if I have the taste with only alittle honey, I wont like it, So I just leave it out. Surprisingly it's not bad just plain. No sugar, No honey, Nothing. I will probably get to the point where I dont drink any coffee, and just stick with tea's. So I will definitely be updating you all on good tea's that I find along the way.

Do any of you have tea that you enjoy? Please share! You can either comment for other's to see or you can email me: mybigchange@yahoo.com

There's just something about drinking tea that makes me feel refreshed. When I drink coffee, I get a stomach ache, and it just doesnt make me feel good. Tea makes me feel better. :) Do any of you feel the same?

Thanks for reading. Short and Sweet <3

My Starting Weight

My Starting Weight: 246.6

This kills me to type. I am OVER 100 lbs over weight.

I cannot sit here and dwell over this number. If I do, this number will keep creeping up and up. If I EVER go over 250 lbs I will be so disappointed in myself. Don't get me wrong, I already am extremely disappointed in myself. I can't believe I have let myelf get so off track. I will just start from here and get this weight off. Heres are my "mini" goals..

First, I want to go down by 10's. So my first goal will be to hit the 30's, then 20's, and so on.
Second, I want to hit the 100's. Once I hit 199 that will be a very very happy day. I havent seen that in about 5 years. Its going to take probably 6 months but you better bet your butt that I will make it :)
Third, My ultimate goal will be to lose 100 lbs. So be right around 150lbs. I dont have any exact weight right now. I will just have to see when I get there. I really am not even worried about the "number" but the size. Ok no, that came out wrong. I am worried about the number, because thats what all the DR's are worried about a yada yada. But I want to be down to a size 10ish. Right now I am an 18/20. I actually dont know what size I am for sure. I wear maternity jeans/jean shorts. I cant remember the last time I wore an "actual" pair of jeans. They are not comfortable to me. I dont like the buttons and zippers and the maternity's dont have that. Same with shorts. They are just so much more comfortable. For me right now, comfort is all that matters. I have a pair of 15's that are normal jeans. That will be my first goal for clothes to be able to fit in them. I think I wore those about 3 years ago. I remember the first time I couldnt fit into them. We were getting ready to go to dinner for my Fiance's Birthday. I was running late and just decided to throw on a pair of jeans. That is when I discovered they did not fit anymore, and since that day, I have not worn them.

On a different note. There is a show premiering on Monday, May 30 called Extreme Makeover: Weight Loss Edition. I dont know about you guys, but when I watch shows like this, it inspires me to lose weight and workout. Just like, I Used To Be Fat. I really loved that show and I hope they do another season of it!

Hello & Welcome To My BIG Change:)

Hello To Whomever Is Reading,

Thank you for coming along with me on the journey that will be changing my life forever. Weight Loss. I am proud to start this blog and share with the world the struggles I have gone through and the choices I have made in my life that have gotten me where I am today. I know this is going to be a very challenging journey.

I have been saying for years and years that I am going to lose weight. It has never happened. I dont think I really ever wanted it for "ME". You have to want something for yourself to be able to succeed. I have tried buying smaller clothes to hang on the wall to see everyday, that didn't work. I tried buying a bikini to hang on the wall, that didn't work. It will not work if you dont work hard at it and TRY. That is my problem, I wasn't trying. I will be the first person to admit, I am soo soo lazy! I will try to avoid doing the smallest things. Examples: Have someone get a drink for me, when I can get up and get it myself. Have someone else let my dog's out because I am to lazy to get up and do it myself. All of this nonsense has to stop! There is absolutely no excuse for me to be that way. None. What.So.Ever.

I have gotten to the point where I am disgusted to look at myself in the mirror. I don't want to wear anything except for leggings/sweats and a big baggy t-shirt.

I have come up with some things that I will accomplish. I have no set an exact time on when these things will be done by but these are goals of mine that I want to start. Here they are:

1. Workout atleast 30 min a day [for the first 30 days] Then bump it up for 60 min.
2. Walk the dogs atleast twice a day.
3. No fried foods!
4. Try atleast 1 workout class this summer.
5. Wear an outfit out of my comfort zone.
6. Drink WATER WATER WATER.
7. Drink only one cup of coffee a day [this is a huge one for me! I drink probably 3-4 cups a day and put lots of sugar in it!]
8. Drink more hot tea [EX: Green Tea]
9. Make a food journal
10. Stop putting myself down and having negative thoughts.

These are just some of my personal goals that I would like to accomplish. And I want you all to know, I am saying e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g on here. This is going to be like my journal that I come to when I need to let something out or anything. I think that will help me succeed. There might be 1 post a day, there might be 4 or 5. It depends on the day and how I am feeling.

I am doing this blog because I want to share my story with people. If I can atleast influence one person to do this with me, or lose weight I will feel like I have done my job. Even if there is only one person reading this..That's OK! So long as I inspire ONE person! I think me putting everything out there, will help people, of all ages! BTW, I am 20 years old. I will be 21 in 2 months.

This is my thought process on weight loss..I am 20 years old. I have lived 20 years of my life overweight. It has never been to this extreme, but I have always been overweight. Middle School I was a size 12. [which I would kill to be at right now!] In my Freshman year of High school I was a size 14. After I met my now, Fiance, through out 5 1/2 years I have gained 80 pounds. I am now 240lbs, my heaviest. I am not going to lie and say "Im only 200lbs!" because I am not and that would not help me with my weight loss process. So my starting weight is 240lbs give or take a couple lbs. I will give you EXACT weight in my next posting. [i will weight myself in the morning] Anyway, getting back to what I was saying..I am only 20 years old. I havent even lived half my life. Why would I waste anymore time being miserable, and uncomfortable in my body. I was at the gym one time and a lady that worked there came up and said to me "So are you trying to lose weight?" I said Yes. She said "Treat your body good, your the one who has to live in it the rest of your life" I will never forget that. It is so true. I was just thinking the other day, A year has now passed since I have done personal training..I could've stuck with it and lost my 80lbs I wanted to lose. It makes me extremely disappointed in myself. If I keep putting it off like I have been, I will be an old woman and it will be to late. I am young, I need to do it now while it is easier. Once I hit my 30's I have a feeling it wont be very easy. One year or even two years of my life, isnt that long when I think about it, and how it will change the rest of my life.

I get very discouraged when I am working out and get so out of breath I cant breathe. I feel light headed, and just need to sit down. I have chest pains that I have had for alittle over a year now. I am on meds for it. [Opposite side of my heart, thank goodness] I dont know what it is, but it does get aggervated when I workout, so I have to be careful. I do not have patients when it comes to "being patient to see results" I want to see them right then and there! LOL, I know that isnt going to happen!

This workout plan, and all my goals are going to start June 10th-ish. I am currently on vacation and will be ready to go when I get home. I will be posting everyday. I'm not sure if I will be posting my journal entries for my food, unless you all want me too. Please let me know. If anyone reading this has any requests of postings, or questions, I made a specific email just for that. It is mybigchange@yahoo.com I will check it everyday. I will also be posting pictures so I can see my progress along the way.

Please, If you are reading this and want to hate, and call me fat and anything else, Just leave. I do not need to hear that. I've heard that word way to many times in my lifetime and that is why I am putting myself out there for everyone so I can change myself, so I can be happier. So don't hate. This is for people trying to change their life just like me!

I want to thank my friends who are always there for me, and will listen to all my complaints that I have. The three people that mean the most to me in all this is: Blake, My Fiance,Jamie, My Best friend & Tara, My Best Friend<3 thank you guys so much for being there for me always and supporting me!
