Today is a sad day. A former neighbor of mine, passed away on Feb 22 and today was his Memorial Service. He was an amazing man, husband and father to my two friends. The worst part is, he passed away while he was running of a heart attack. This baffles my mind and absolutely breaks my heart. I cant help but cry in sadness for his entire family. While his son was speaking, he said his dad ran over 1,000 miles in the year 2011, ran 11 marathons [i think it was 11] and he ran 5 of them with his dad. He was so healthy. This shouldn't have happened to such a great person.
I went to the gym after I got home. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical again. It was 2.24 miles. I have felt so fat today! I know that anyone who is overweight, has their "I feel fat" days! Well, today is mine! I feel like I weigh 500lbs and look disgusting. I haven't gained anything so I don't know why I feel like that. It's very aggravating! I'm not going to let it get me down though because this isn't just for weight loss its a lifestyle.
I'm having a hard time with healthy SNACKS. I'm actually having a hard time with it all but mostly snacks. I eat a lot of carrots/hummus, special k chips, celery & peanut butter, lunch meat. That's mainly what I snack on. It's getting kind of boring. Does anyone suggest some snack ideas? Please email me at mybigchange@yahoo.com or comment below! I do look at the comments and my emails! Also for dinner I try to have a salad [no dressing] and some kind of meat. I've been really picky about what i've been eating. Last night I had a hamburger patty with baked beans. That's all I had, and I was still hungry, which makes me snack at night before bed, which is a big no no! I know i'm not eating enough, I just cant ever find anything to eat! Please send your ideas my way! It's greatly appreciated:)

I notice you do a lot of cardio but very little weight training. You should really add in more weights bc otherwise you will end up saggy as you lose the pounds. You should also try to vary your workout. Take fitness classes, ride bikes, go swimming, etc.
ReplyDeleteAs far as snacks, fresh fruit is a good choice. Veggie chips, granola, greek yogurt, are great too. If you are worried about your portions buy those slotted plates for kids. It has 3 little sections for food. If you want something less healthy, only eat as much as will fit in the smallest lot. Put stuff like veggies in the biggest slots to round out your meal
Thanks! I do know that I need to do some weights, i'm planning on starting that this week or next week, I wanted the first 3-4weeks just being cardio so I can get into a routine of going. This is all very new to me. My fiance lifts weights 6x a week, so he's planning on showing me lots of stuff! I did some arms/legs today.
